A brief introduction to Carousel Saddlery

Kirkby Lonsdale's saddlery opened on Aprils Fools Day 1999!

Your first impression of our shop if you were to visit, is that it is small, but we are in fact the longest shop in Kirkby Lonsdale, but definitely not the widest. Finding us is very easy; park in the Square or on any of the other car parks nearby and we are only a few yards away. On the main street opposite the Snooty Fox Tavern.

The shop at Kirkby Lonsdale stocks an extensive and varied range of quality equestrian products for both the horse and rider, including leatherwork, hats, boots, rugs, jodhpurs, chaps and accessories. As we are on a Main Street in a market town, we also stock a vast array of clothing for riders and everyday use, concentrating on Musto, Harry Hall, John Whitaker, Mountain Horse, Weatherbeeta, Dublin and many more. Due to the size of the shop there is a small range of saddles on display in the shop but we carry at least 150-200 new and second hand saddles.

Gifts are a speciality in the shop. Our range includes books, mugs, bedding, ornaments, toys, socks and even horseballs.

We are open 7 days a week
Monday - Saturday - 9.00am to 5.30pm
Sunday - 12.00 noon - 4.30pm

We offer a personal service, with help and advice from our experienced staff. If we do not have a certain item in stock then we will try order those goods for you. We are able to supply many other goods that are not shown on our web site so please contact us should you require any other items.

Goods are returnable on a credit note basis, unless faulty in which case a full refund will be offered.

Saddles

All saddles in stock are carefully chosen to enable us to ensure that the best possible fit is available to you and your horse or pony. We stock Jeffries, Fieldhouse (GFS), Barnsby, Ideal, Black Country, Albion, Jaguar, Harry Dabbs, Bates, Collegiate, Saddle Company, Wintec and Thorowgood. Some of these saddles are available to a template fit for your horse with adjustments to suit the rider if necessary.

As registered “Society of Master Saddler, Qualified Saddle Fitters”, we offer a comprehensive saddle fitting service, for new and second hand saddles. We are also able to offer remedial fitting for those horses that have had previous injury or problems from saddle; we will work closely with your vet or physiotherapist as necessary.
